Data Technician I

Job description
Nectar Markets is seeking a Data Technician 1 to join the Data Team. The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, operates efficiently, and utilizes available resources to complete assigned tasks. We are a fast growing, high energy and exciting company in the Cannabis retail space.
Under the supervision of the Data Lead, the Data Technician 1 will process and upload data into our Point of Sale (POS) and METRC systems for all Nectar stores. The Data Technician 1 will be based at Nectar’s wholesale facility, currently at Airport Way and 181st.
This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement within the Data Team.
Responsibilities

Creating data files for upload into the POS system
Processing data in METRC: Package Creation, Consolidation, etc.
Scrubbing data pre-upload, and validating data post-upload into the POS system
Learning and running semi-automated to fully automated systems/programs
Other duties as assigned. Examples include:
Harvest season data entry
Data scrubbing
Report development

Requirements:
Reliable transportation
Permits/Certifications:

OLCC Handler’s Permit
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (analyzing and scrubbing data)
>35 WPM typing and 9000 KPH 10-key input
Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and data integrity
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively, both in writing and in person
Ability to multitask
Ability to switch tasks on short notice
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently; task-driven
Desire to learn / Inquisitive nature
Willing to teach those who display a desire to learn and enhance their skillset.
A highschool diploma or GED is required. A college-level degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
Job history in a data-entry role or data-related role is preferred but not required.
Job history in a role working on a computer full time.
Experience with METRC and/or POS systems is preferred but not required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is an hourly, non-exempt full-time position. The expectation is that the Data Technician 1 will work 40 hours per week. The position may require occasional overtime hours. Schedule will be established by Lead and successful candidate at time of hiring.

Work Environment
This position is located at in an office environment. The Data Technician 1 will spend substantially all of their job-focused time working at a desk.
Travel
Willingness to travel is preferred, but travel is expected to be infrequent for this position.
