Assistant Store Manager

Job description
Assistant Managers assist the Store Manager in all duties and responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, compliance with state laws, merchandise ordering, sales, cash handling, financial reporting, inventory, and customer service.
Additionally, Assistant Managers are required to see to it that business operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as with state regulatory standards at all time.
The Assistant Manager will also be accountable for the evening shift supervisor which includes, but is not limited to, handling operational procedures, assisting budtenders, supervising cleaning staff, setting alarms, and keeping the entry area clean and organized. This position reports to the Store Manager of the dispensary.
Job Qualifications:

Understands that customer service is the top priority and ceases performing tasks when customers are present and in need of assistance
Makes eye contact, smiles and promptly acknowledges and greets each guest entering the dispensary and in the waiting area
Oversee the Budtenders to ensure high levels of customer service and that they are making appropriate recommendations based on store inventory and customer needs
Track that all employees are adequately trained; this training must include knowledge of all state and local industry laws
Helps to eliminate and/or reduce potential theft of product by providing exceptional guest service and maintaining awareness while on the sales floor
Ensures employees keep product restocked on shelves and that the sales area is kept clean and customer friendly
Ensures that all advertising displays are set up to highlight sales and promotional events
Ensures the store is replenished throughout the day, arranges merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events to company standards on shelves
Ensures physical inventory preparation, execution and follow-up is done accurately
Ensures overall store cleanliness including restrooms, cash wrap, backroom and sales floor
Demonstrates regular attendance and timeliness
Takes initiative to stay informed regarding new or existing products and is knowledgeable about their ingredients and benefits to better serve customers
Contributes to the dispensary’s overall goals and meets or exceeds individual goals
Other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements & Preferences:

Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a MED badge
Understands METRC and POS systems (BioTrak)
Have a minimum of 3-years retail, restaurant or service-related experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, or related field
Open availability including nights, weekends and all holidays
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day
Computer proficient (word, excel)
Reliable transportation
Other tasks as assigned

Job Setting:

Retail store front immediately working with customers and guests
Continuous mobility through the dispensary daily including but not limited to standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching throughout the shift
